It Was A Very Good Year

IT WAS A VERY GOOD YEAR written by Ervin Drake originally for the Kingston Trio, was recorded by Frank Sinatra for his own label, Reprise Records, in 1965. Sinatra's recording climbed to #28 on Billboards Hot 100 and received four Grammy nominations. It won two Grammy Awards: Best Vocal performance, Male and Best Arrangement Accompanying a Vocalist. Ervin Drake is a past president of the Songwriters Guild of America and inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1983.
